Be smart in 2009…don’t get a gym membership
Posted by: | CommentsNew years resolutions abound with weight loss and fitness goals. The number one New Years resolution is still some variety of “I want to lose weight”. I ask that you repel the inclination to run out and sign up for that Gym membership right now.
All the stupid people are thinking that it is a good move to get there ass moving in 2009 and think that a gym membership will do the trick. Gym memberships are a piece of paper and a deduction every month from your credit card. I haven’t yet seen a credit card statement drag anyone’s ass to the gym yet. As part of your New Years resolution I would like you to promise to become and act a little smarter when it comes to your fitness and weight loss goals.
It is more important that you begin an exercise program on your own. There are many program’s including several of mine that require no gym membership to get you started. Consistency is the key, not a membership card. When you feel you have made your fitness a priority and are comfortable with it becoming a healthy habit, then and only then would I advise you to spend your hard earned cash in these difficult economic times on a customer service deprived gym membership. How to lose weight?…drink more water.
Posted by: | CommentsI can’t even tell you how many e-mails I get a day asking me about how much water you should take in per day. So I decided to make a video and post a little blurb about it here. Water is essential if you want to lose weight fast.
Make no mistake. Water is literally more important than food when it comes to sustaining the body and it’s normal functioning. You could survive way longer without food than without water. Water is needed for every chemical reaction that involves, thought, movement, digestion and a whole lot more that I refuse to list because I think you get the picture.
I know I’ll get the stupid people saying something ridiculous about me condoning starving yourself or something totally off the subject…but that’s their issue and they can “Die in a fire!” for all I care. This blog post is about water not food.
Now back to water and your intake of it. I recommend…ha..ha… you have to watch the video!

Lost Your Job…Now Lose Some Weight!

When life gives you lemons (and I know how that is) make some yummy lemonade. if you lost your job, it is the perfect opportunity to start an exercise and weight loss program. I’m not kidding. You can’t complain about how your job keeps you from working out because it’s obvious… you don’t have one!

Some Fitness Industry Pros Suck…and I don’t mean lollipops!
Posted by: | CommentsPersonal Trainers, gym owners and some fitness industry pros get a bad rap at times. And hey, sometimes it’s well deserved. It’s unfortunate, but there are still way too many “idiot” trainers who are more interested in looking at themselves in a mirror than they are at their own clients. Good for them!
But we also get our ass kicked at times for being too interested in looks and appearance than health and wellness.
Well, I’m going to fill you in on a little secret. I’ve tried to market my business by educating people about the health benefits of proper nutrition and exercise. I’d love for people to care more about their health than how they look…ahhh…vanity!
Unfortunately, and this holds true for the vast majority of people, they only care about their health once they’ve lost it and then they cry and want you to cry with them. Their body has broken down so much that there is no recovery…boo friggin hoo!

The best way to lose weight fast…

I enjoy eating foods that I like and will enjoy. I’m funny like that. I also like to be somewhat adventurous with my cooking but only if I know it will be at least semi-healthy.
