Archive for protein

Here is a video I did a while back to teach all you “non” chefs out there how to cook chicken broth for protein. 50% of all the body’s protein is in your connective tissue, and so it is for the chicken.

Very important amino acids such as proline and glycine are abundant in homemade chicken broth made from Chicken Feet. Proline and glycine are amino acids that specifically help with brain function and sleep disorders. While not only having an abundant supply of proline and glycine there is no tryptophan and cysteine which are amino acids that facilitate the aging process in your joints and at the cellular level… not a good thing!

So take a gander at my video, it’s less than 15 minutes long and should be fairly entertaining… and tell me how yours turns out. If there are any questions please leave them in the comment section for me to answer.

Protein Shakes are Toxic!

Posted by: | Comments (0)

I literally almost shit my pants when this report came out. I wanted to release it when the media did but I wanted to do my “own” due diligence.

In many instances there is usually someone or some company with an agenda behind one of these studies… and I refuse to get caught up in that stupidity.

This time it is a “true” report and some of the popular protein drinks and meal replacement drinks do have high levels of toxins than I or any of you would like.

To tell you the truth… I’m a little baffled to why anyone or any company would have let this go unmonitored… to allow their product to be infused with toxins… is beyond my scope of thinking.

As a branding expert, fitness professional and just someone who cares about the public health… I’d probably recommend they make sure there was no toxins in something I sold… but that’s just me.

Checkout this video and tell me what you think of this report.

What’s a “good” carb?  Why are carbohydrates “bad” for me?  I was told I can’t eat Pasta any more…is that true?  How do you know what’s good for you any more?

I get bombarded with these questions on a daily basis. So I decided when Registered Dietitian and good friend Jayson Hunter came to visit that I would put this controversy to rest once and for all.  I know that there are a bunch of stupid people out there that just won’t let it die but that’s their issue.  For all the semi-intelligent and intelligent people that read my blog I have sat down with Jayson to ask him to dispel the truth…and the lies… that pertain to consuming carbohydrates.  As with all my talks with Jayson Hunter they are very informative, entertaining and downright awesome.

Now go get some “organic” popcorn and watch the video. “Organic” popcorn…come on people!…saturated in”Organic” butter with “Organic” salt sprinkled on top. Sometimes I just write this for myself ;)
