Can Anyone Tell Me the Benefits of Being Fat?
Posted by: | CommentsWhen I receive the onslaught of e-mails like I have in regards to yesterday’s blog post condemning me to Hell and parts unknown, I have to ask one question;” What really are the benefits of being Fat?”
It seems like a logical question being that I get haters by the dozens telling me what a harsh son of a bitch I am. That I should die…even though they might be two pie slices away from a heart attack. It doesn’t make sense to me that Fat people and thin people who have taken up the fat people’s cause would curse the day I was born but can’t give me any real “benefit” to why being fat is such a great status symbol that they should be accepted, tolerated and given special treatment.
When someone can give me a real answer and not something that poses as an idiotic excuse for comedy like, “When your fat you can wear sweatpants to a restaurant and no one cares”. Yep…brilliance on parade here…or even more stupid, “You can always get your money’s worth at the all-you-can-eat-buffet”. Yep, I’m laughing so hard I’m peeing my pants.
If you can find any benefits which I don’t think you can…then what the hell is taking you so long to get your shit together?
…and by the way, Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
How about watching the video portion of my blog below.

Fat People are Stupid…and then they die!
Posted by: | Comments
This is one of those things that pisses me off beyond belief. I have many motivational type quotes that I use and have used over the course of my career, one being…”Fat People are Stupid and then they die!”. That quote breeds so much controversy and venom from fat people and now from idiotic fitness professionals…I think.
Let me begin by saying that I left a comment on a friend and colleague’s blog that asked for inspirational/motivational quotes. I left a bunch of them including “Fat People are Stupid…then they die!” and someone decided (using initials not even their name) to respond to me in the comments section that “The amount of body fat a person possesses has nothing to do with their intelligence level”. Now whomever this person is should quit the fitness business if he/she is truly apart of this industry because anyone who condones fatness in this industry is themselves “Stupid”.
I don’t care if you are a member of MENSA, a Rocket Scientist, brain surgeon, heart surgeon, if you have the cure for cancer and you drop dead tomorrow at 40 years old or younger because of Obesity related issues…you are dumber than a box of rocks! You’ve wasted your life on gluttony and got what you deserve…Death by Stupidity.
SO you can Boo Hoo all you want and make all the lame excuses you want but the reality is that if you are fat and don’t do anything about it, want to bitch and complain, want everyone to accept you for what you are…then you are “Stupid” and should and will die of a heart attack or something worse.

To Lose Weight Fast…Choose a Fitness & Weight Loss Program You Can Live With
Posted by: | CommentsChoose a Fitness and Weight Loss program you can live with …don’t try to live with the program. What does that mean?
Try to fit your lifestyle into the program you are beginning and you will have greater potential for success. I see too many people try to fit their lives into a Fitness and/or Weight Loss Program and more often then not it becomes to overwhelming. Many so-called quick weight loss programs have you cooking and eating foods you have never heard of let alone have ever eaten. Now I’m all for expanding your horizons but I don’t advise doing it on a new weight loss program. Also, make your workouts easy to do or get to. It wouldn’t be wise to join a gym that is on the other side of your universe. Get a program you can do at home or outside near your home and you will find it’s easy to not find too many excuses.
It is always better to find a program that is flexible and will fit into your lifestyle. It doesn’t make sense to change everything you do to try to lose weight and then once the weight is lost, you go back to the same routine that got you fat in the first place.
Take a gander at my latest video to help you choose a program you can live with.

Albuquerque named fifth fittest city in America by Men’s Fitness Magazine
Posted by: | Comments
When I moved to Albuquerque, NM I knew that it was in the Top 10 Fittest Cities in America and I’m happy to see it in the Top 5 this year. There really is no place on earth like Albuquerque. The City government really places a lot of emphasis on the ability to be active here.
Every road you travel has a “real” bike path and for the most part drivers cooperate with cyclists. There are bike routes that can take you anywhere you need to go in the city especially where I live on the Westside. It’s a twenty minute bike ride to Downtown and the scenery is awesome. Something else that I find is incredible about Albuquerque is there are 320 parks within the city limits. You don’t have to walk very far to find a place to workout outside. Bike paths connect many of the parks also, so if you are afraid of the Albuquerque drivers than it’s possible to ride safely around the city on the designated bike paths.
…and I have to tell you there is nothing better in the world than the weather for exercising outdoors. I have been able to go hiking or rock climbing just about every morning since I’ve moved here. Many of the locals don’t like me bragging about Albuerque because they say they don’t want anyone else to move here…but I can’t help it. I have said this before and I’ll keep saying it…”If ever on this planet you could call someplace “God’s Country” Albuerque, NM is the place”. I want to thank the Mayor Martin J. Chavez and the rest of the City Government…especially the Park’s Department for making and keeping Albuquerque as one of the Top Fitness Cities in America

So how are those New Years Resolutions going?
Posted by: | CommentsI’m not big on New Years Resolutions.
I don’t know if you can get that from my blog or my e-mails. It’s my guess…you can.
The reason I’m not big on them is because most people go into a resolution half-heartedly and don’t take them seriously.
That’s one of the reasons I don’t like you to join a gym or health club in January.
ntil you are making a habit of fitness and resolve to be consistent with your fitness program I don’t like you spending an money on programs or memberships.
Once you’re committed… can keep on track with little distraction and understand that fitness needs to be integrated into your lifestyle and not just an after thought then I recommend you start paying for it.
If you are having a hard time getting started then just add my 8 minute workout in to your daily routine everyday. That’s it 8 minutes. It doesn’t cost you anything…except 8 minutes. Click on The Get It Now button in the right hand corner of this blog.
If you don’t understand the exercises, you can go to the new “exercise video” section at http://askroccoblog.com/fat-burning-exercises/
Or just look in the navigation bar up top and click on the link that says “Fat Burning Exercises”.
Here’s to making 2009 your healthiest year yet.
