What are Good Carbs and Bad Carbs…dispelling the truth
Posted by: | CommentsWhat’s a “good” carb? Why are carbohydrates “bad” for me? I was told I can’t eat Pasta any more…is that true? How do you know what’s good for you any more?
I get bombarded with these questions on a daily basis. So I decided when Registered Dietitian and good friend Jayson Hunter came to visit that I would put this controversy to rest once and for all. I know that there are a bunch of stupid people out there that just won’t let it die but that’s their issue. For all the semi-intelligent and intelligent people that read my blog I have sat down with Jayson to ask him to dispel the truth…and the lies… that pertain to consuming carbohydrates. As with all my talks with Jayson Hunter they are very informative, entertaining and downright awesome.
Now go get some “organic” popcorn and watch the video. “Organic” popcorn…come on people!…saturated in”Organic” butter with “Organic” salt sprinkled on top. Sometimes I just write this for myself

Can’t afford a gym membership…workout for free at your local playground
Posted by: | CommentsThis is part two of the “Playground Workout” that I put local Albuquerque Kiss Morning Show Radio Personality “Kandee Man” through. I wanted to teach him that there is no reason to be fat, and that you have all the equipment you need to take the weight off right at your local playground.
So if you don’t have money for a gym membership or can’t afford expensive fitness equipment than follow along and try my version of “The Playground Workout”. This is after he had a so called “Bad Weekend”.
Hopefully without choking to death on your own breath!

NO Gym Membership…No money to buy fancy fitness equipment?
Posted by: | Comments“I don’t have money to join a gym!” “I can’t afford to pay two thousand dollars for a treadmill, or buy an elliptical or that fancy tread climber from Bowflex!” I just want to be able to get a full body workout without spending all sorts of crazy cash to do it.
Here’s a little hint. If you can find a children’s playground somewhere close to your house, you can get an incredible workout without spending loads of cash on gym memberships and expensive equipment.
Watch the video and see how I put “The Kandee Man” from Kiss 97.3 through his full body workout.

Criticize Oprah and get slammed with Stupidity…
Posted by: | CommentsI can not believe the incredible stupidity in the e-mails I received concerning yesterday’s blog post.
People, you are totally off message here. I received e-mails about everything from what a great humanitarian to how cruel I was for saying that Oprah takes money for appearances on her show.
For all of you that didn’t get it the first time. It was about how when she speaks …the diet scam people go into overdrive. Her audience clings on every word she speaks. So when she says that Acai berry is the new Super food even though it’s been around for at least a million years…give or take. The scam artists are out there pedaling “Acai Berry Diet Cleanses” that will take hundreds of pounds off of you without doing anything else.
It’s just not true.
The “Acai Berry Diet Cleanses” don’t work! And to add insult upon injury, the percentage of Acai berry contained in “the clease” couldn’t help a field mouse.
If you purchase this stuff to lose weight you be an idiot. If you purchase the extracts or drinks containing high percentages of the Acai Berry for the anti-oxident effects than I commend you.
The “Acai berry” in my opinion is a great food to counteract the damages from free radicals to our body’s systems at the cellular level.
If you don’t get it you never will. If you do…more power to you.
Tommorw’s post will show you why Dr. Nicholas Perricone specifically talked about Acai berry on Oprah’s Show. Stay tuned.
