A Noted Authority in Strength and Conditioning
Posted by: | Comments
Pat Rigsby and Carlo Alvarez
Without a doubt the best strength coach in the nation has got to be Carlo Alvarez. I know everyone who is “High Intensity Training” will freak out and say what about Dr. Ken Liestner, or Matt Brzycki, or Randy Berning, or Ken Mannie and of course Mickey Marrotti… and then I would tell you to shut the f@#k up because although each one of those people are great in their own right , Carlo Alvarez is the culmination of all that talent, knowledge and respect for the iron game all in one.
He is a man that has ultimately paid his dues and can show you the battle scars to prove it.
What I love about Carlo is that he is the most grounded person I have come across…he has a job to do and he does it. He takes the responsibility of shaping the bodies, minds and lives of young men very seriously. If it is taking St. Xavier to the championships or helping a young football player get the scholarship he so desperately needs to better his life potential…Carlo is there to see him follow through.
Although we came up through the same ranks and Carlo is 10 years younger than me, I have great respect for him, his accomplishments and what the future will bring this “Noted Authority in Strength and Conditioning”…although I believe him to be the “Best Strength Coach in America”.
Check out the video interview I did with Carlo below:

Fitness Pro and Natural Pro Bodybuilder Tyler English Confirms Guys are idiots
Posted by: | Comments
It is Tyler English’s mission to provide his clients with the highest level of support and faster results than any other “so-called” personal trainers in Farmington Valley area of Connecticut.
His time working in the health club industry made him well-aware of a common occurrence. Health Clubs and Gyms are just a big excuse for social hour. There is usually no energy, no hard work, no intensity, and ultimately no results…as witnessed by women and men running endlessly on treadmills and still fat after two years of “working out”
Tyler knew things needed to change. “I wanted to work with people who were like-minded and would stop at ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to achieve their maximum fitness potential”.
Check out why Tyler confirmed that guys are idiots in the video below:

Getting Fit to be a Fitness “Role Model” for your kids.

I just got back from easily the greatest “Fitness Business” conference I have ever been to. Even if I wasn’t asked to speak I would have eagerly been the first one to sign up. One of the greatest aspects of this type of business conference is that it attracts the elite fitness pros even if they’re not speaking. Some lesser known Fitness Pros are “freaks” when it comes to creating revenue online and offline.
One thing that my good friends Pat Rigsby, Nick Berry and Jim Labadie do when they put an event like this on is create a “real” family like environment. Not one of the fitness pros that I consider “Elite” thought he was better than anyone else. Each one talked until there was nothing to talk about. One of these people is a Fat DJ turned Fitness Pro and host of “No Gym, No problem” Radio Show on Blog Talk Radio.com, Sincere Hogan.
I was able to kidnap Sincere away from the crowd of adoring fans for a great short interview about how he decided to become a role model for his children and gets involved with their activities and has been deemed “The Cool Dad”.
Check out my interview with Sincere Hogan…The Cool Dad.

It looks like Lose 30 in Thirty is really kicking ass. Here is an e-mail from another one of my clients:
“Hey Rocco just wanted to let you know that it’s been 1 week (8days today) and I went from 174 to 160 already. I have also noticed that the more I keep doing this the more resistance I build my body hates this change, but I give it no option but to get used to it. Thank you for telling me not to stop working out no matter what.
It hurt like hell the first 3 days. I couldn’t even walk I hated your guts man honestly lol, but even though I couldn’t walk I still went and the day after that I was fine.
When I reach day 20 I will let you know. Man I am excited and looking for day 30. Until then, I won’t stop.
Thanks you once again Rocco but it isn’t over yet. ”
