A Total Body Workout… Really… TRX Suspension Training
Posted by: | CommentsIt’s not often that some type of fitness equipment comes along and impresses me. TRX definitely has.
I was able to try it out at my client Dale Buchanan’s fitness studio, Supreme Ultimate Fitness in Boca Raton and afterward I was hooked. I used manual resistance as my ability to train anyone, anywhere but TRX has easily brought a new dimension to that theory.
I have seen trainers attach TRX to trees, poles and walls… you could probably figure out other places to fasten it to but that’s up to you.
I have to tell you… I love this product. I use it everyday and have no problem telling you about it. TRX will make your “Fitness Life” much simpler.

Protein Shakes are Toxic!
Posted by: | CommentsI literally almost shit my pants when this report came out. I wanted to release it when the media did but I wanted to do my “own” due diligence.
In many instances there is usually someone or some company with an agenda behind one of these studies… and I refuse to get caught up in that stupidity.
This time it is a “true” report and some of the popular protein drinks and meal replacement drinks do have high levels of toxins than I or any of you would like.
To tell you the truth… I’m a little baffled to why anyone or any company would have let this go unmonitored… to allow their product to be infused with toxins… is beyond my scope of thinking.
As a branding expert, fitness professional and just someone who cares about the public health… I’d probably recommend they make sure there was no toxins in something I sold… but that’s just me.

In today’s Wednesday Workout Tips portion of askROCCO Blog… I direct your attention to my friend Craig Ballantyne’s three favorite ab exercises… even though he gives several variations and makes it more like… 10 ab exercises. Who’s counting any way.
If you have ever done the ab wheel… you know it’s hard. If you haven’t try it then get back to me.
The two exercises he suggests… the Ball Jack Knife and Cross Body Mountain Climber are definitely some of my favorites as well. Watch the video of Craig below and try out these exercises.

How is a Fat Man taking up half the aisle on an airplane… safe… in any way?

I know I’m going to hear it from the Fat lovers and excuse makers out there but something has to be done about shit like this. There is no way that a man or a women with their ass and body half way into the aisle of an aircraft is safe in any way.
One… and it’s pretty obvious… they’re blocking the aisle in case of an emergency. You don’t have to be Einstein to figure that one out. One that not too many people think about… is, more then likely this guy’s going to have a heart attack and if he has it on that aircraft, who is going to lift his ass up and off that plane? I know the flight attendents even if there are five of them aren’t going anywhere near that safety hazzard. So it will be up to me or some other strong passenger that knows CPR to revive this guy to live another day to eat a box of cookies and a cottage ham.
I know I bitch about fat people and the airlines enough to make you sick but I still don’t see enough being done to help with the problem. If you complain you are not compassionate to the human species and are downright cruel. I’m sorry but that’s a bunch of horseshit… If the people that are this fat had an inkling of compassion for themselves they would do anything within their power and everybody else’s power to get the weight off.
I’m harsh because no one else is. Richard Simmons cried with the fat women and a lot of good that did them… they’re still crying only 40 lbs heavier then they were 20 years ago. It’s about time we stop making excuses and get it done? Let’s make a serious commitment today to get shit done. Do the work… pick any workout that you want and see it through… it’s up to you. If you don’t like me calling you FAT, then do something about it.
David Whitley teaches Rocco the Turkish Get Up Part 2
Posted by: | CommentsI wanted to post this months ago but basically life and my business got in the way… with that said, I think it’s time I share this with you… 7 months later.
Now Master RKC, (he was a Senior RKC when this was taped) David Whitley teaches my kettlebell not knowing ass how to properly perform a Turkish Get Up.
When I posted Part 1 of this video I got hammered with e-mails from non-RKC people telling me that there way was better, blah, blah, blah and more fuckin’ blah. In all honesty I would have to tell you I have since seen other so-called kettlebell experts instruct on the Turkish Get Up and it never compares to the “real” expert instruction by Master RKC… David Whitley.
