Rocco interviews Carb Rotation Diet Creator Jayson Hunter, RD
Posted by: | CommentsOne of my good friends and guest stars on my show, “Rocco My World” who’s pilot will finally be shot between Oct 4th and Oct 9th right here in Albuquerque, allowed me to ask him a question or two about his awesome program called: “The Carb Rotation Diet”.
I love it because Jayson gives you an easy step by step approach to how to rotate your carbs and not worry about weight gain. That why I wanted him on my show.

Should I Really Rest Between Workouts?
Posted by: | Comments
Question: In a download I received from your website, askrocco.com, you wrote:
“To avoid this, allow 48 hours rest in between weight-training sessions. This is the approximate time that protein synthesis takes—the mechanism by which your muscles are repaired.”
I work out 5 days a week. I do: Stretching, Push ups, Heavy lifting (well for me anyway), A 30 minute elliptical workout.
I am at the point where I am slightly over my BMI “average” weight (by 5 pounds). I am 6″ 4′ and weigh 205 lbs. I am 43. I never touched a weight prior to three years ago. I was at 268 at that point. I went from a 42 waste to currently a 36 waste. I am now starting to work on “bulking” up my mass.
So I should only work out three times a week? I’m confused. Could you elaborate?
Sorry to ramble but I wanted you to have my main information so you can answer the question as well as possible.
Thank you, Brian
Answer: Your ramble still didn’t give me all the information that I needed but I’ll take it from here. The reason for your confusion is valid; so many fitness professionals throw so much shit at you it’s hard to comprehend. If you are working out 5 days a week performing all the activities you have stated then you are definitely doing something wrong. If you are truly doing some heavy lifting then you need to rest in between workouts…no matter what the bodybuilding magazines say! If you feel that stretching is beneficial to your workout keep doing it, but do it after your workout. I, for one don’t believe in stretching if you are working your muscles throughout their full range of motion. As for your 30 minutes on the elliptical, do it after your weight workout and cut it down to 20 minutes but do “hills” for 2 minutes then go as fast as you can for 2 minutes…and so on. If you want something to do on the in between days, go take a Yoga or Pilates class.
If you haven’t invested in my Lose 30 in Thirty Fitness Program you’re not taking the action needed to be healthier within the next month. What are you waiting for?

The Naked Nutrition Guide Creator Mike Roussell chats with ROCCO.
Posted by: | Comments…or the other way around. Either way Mike let’s us know why he created the Naked Nutrition Guide. If ever their was a guy that I hate standing in the same room with it would be Mike. Not because he smells or anything like that but because he is a real scientist and is so damn intelligent when it comes to nutrition its mind boggling. I feel like my brain melts when he speaks.
You can listen to him rattle off study after study that he has done, not ones that other people have done. Which is pretty amazing if you ask me. When you have a chance check out his Naked Nutrition Guide at: http://nakednutritionguide.com or his Naked Nutrition Network at: http://NakedNutritionNetwork.com
I wish the whole fitness industry was like this…
Posted by: | CommentsIt’s amazing that more than 400 people can come together with similar aspirations. The want to change the face of fitness altogether. It was fascinating to see everyone having fun and spreading the good word that the industry is not dead. It’s just recovering from a case of stupidity for the past 20 years or so. Here are some of the photos that capture the spirit of the event.

If you missed Ryan Lees Boot Camp this year, start saving your pennies and don’t miss it next year. If you do, you would be an idiot.
